The experienced racer joins the Sauber Junior Team’s F3 line-up after winning the F3 Asian Championship in 2018.
He moved into single-seater racing in 2013 and has recorded success as he’s progressed through the Formula 4 and Formula 3 ranks. Became a GP3 race winner during a part-programme in 2017, before moving on to win the F3 Asian title a year later.
Introduced by the FIA for 2019, the F3/19 features an aerodynamic package that has been optimised to enhance overtaking opportunities.
The spec chassis F3/19 is powered by a 3.4-litre, six cylinder, normally-aspirated engine that produces 380hp at 8000rpm.
The Sauber Junior Team F3 car is capable of powering Fabio and Lirim to a top speed of 300km/h – or 186mph.
The FIA F3 Championship is regarded as the perfect training ground for drivers that want to graduate to the F2 category.
